San Martiño Stone Cross Cruceiro

It is located next to the parish church. This work made of granite was crafted in 1875 by Xosé Antón Araújo Ramallosa, a stone-carving teacher, from Vila Nova de Cerveira. It features a circular base with four octagonal steps. It serves as a support for an octagonal pedestal with decorations in relief in each one of its sides, which allude to The Passion of Christ. It also have a sign with the construction date. The shaft is cylindrical and plain, except for the lower part that is decorated with interlaced tapes. It is topped by a composite capital supporting a cross with the Crucified christ on the obverse and the Virgin Mary on the reverse. The rail was added in 1906.
