Parish Church of San Pedro Stone Cross Cruceiro
- Forcadela, San Pedro Parish Church, 20th century. 1995.
- Coordinates:41.981136, -8.736815
This monumental Stone Cross is located in front of the parish church of San Pedro. It was built to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the parish priest, Don José Luis Portela Trigo, and was crafted in granite by the artist Antúnez Pousa.
It features an elaborate decorative repertoire. It stands on four steps supporting a prismatic pedestal-like base. Each one of its sides displays reliefs with different decorations depicting the Virgin of Slavery, Eve with the tree and the serpent (alluding to sin), Saint Peter, and the Crucified Christ. Above the base, there is a cylindrical shaft leading to a capital decorated with plant motifs. This one supports a Crucified Christ beneath a cartouche.
