O Souto Stone Wash House and Fountain Lavadoiro e fonte

This complex, consistsing of a fountain, a stone wash house and a drinking trough, is located beside the road at an elevated level. It is crafted from granite with carefully executed ashlar stones. The fountain is attached to the wall that sorrounds this space and features an undulating profile topped by a curved pediment, beneath which remains the gap where plaque of “Junta de Ayuda a Municipios” with the Falange symbols and the date (as can be seen in the photo from the Tomiño Image Archive) was located. A stone chanel linked the fountain to the wash house. This one has a rectangular plan with an internal partition wall that divides it. On its longer sides it features large inclined slabs, that show wear and tear due to the passage of time and use.
