O Cotro Stone Cross Cruceiro

This stone cross, located in O Cotro, was donated by Rosendo López Pousa in 1998. It stands on a plataform consisting of two steps and a square base. The plain shaft starts with a square section and becomes cylindrical at mid-height. It is topped by a capital decorated with angel heads on each one of its sides. This one supports a cross with bevelled corners, displaying the Crucified Christ on the fron and the Virgin Mary on the back.
It is made of stonework and the front of the base bears the following inscription: “DONACION DE/ ROSENDO LÓPEZ POUSA/ ANO 1993”.
