Camiño Novo Stone Cross Cruceiro
- Tomiño, Camiño Novo, 17th century. 169?
- Coordinates:41.999666, -8.73487
It is located at a crossroads in Camiño Novo and consists of two stone-carving steps, a cubic base with chamfered upper edges, a fluted shaft, a capital and a cross. Along the entire bisel of the upper edges, there is heavily eroded engraved inscription in which “ESTECRVCEROMA/LOMANDOACER/?/ANODE169?” can be read.
The shaft starts with a quadrangular piece and turns into a fluted cylindrical shaft featuring a sculpture that stands out on a bracket. The corners of the capital are decorated with female figures with open arms. The cross displaying the Virgin Mary on one side and the Crucified Christ on the other rests on the capital.
