Amorín Stone Cross Cruceiro

This Jubilee Stone Cross, located in front of the Parish Church of San Xoán de Amorín, was commissioned by the parish priest José María Parracía. It consists of two circular steps supporting a cylindrical base decorated with biblical scenes in relief. It features a fluted cylindrical shaft that decreases in height. At the top it has a Corinthian capital on which rests a Crucified Christ.
Inscriptions carved in the stone:
First step: “ANO DE 1900"
Lower part of the base: "HOMENAJE A CRISTO REDENTOR DE LA HUMANIDAD"
Fuste da columna: "ASÍ SE AMA"/ "FUISTEIS RESCATADOS NON CON ORO"/ "SINO CON LA SANGRE P DE CRISTO"/ "CRISTO VENCE, CRISTO IMPERA"
