A Salgosa Souls' Shrine Peto de ánimas

  • Tomiño, A Salgosa, 20th century. 1914.
  • Coordinates:41.991500, -8.760802
It is located in A Salgosa, next to the road and resting against the wall of a private property. A stream flows directly in front of it, difficulting the access. It is built from granite and on the upper front part of the chapel, it displays floral decorations and an engraved date, both heavily eroded. The chapel features a gable roof, topped by a rombhoidal-section cross. Inside the niche it can be found the alms box with iron cover. The semicircular ledge protrudes above a prismatic pillar base with an engraved inscription, which is also heavily eroded, where “ROSALIA MENDEZ” can be read.
