A Ponte Neighbourhood Stone Cross Cruceiro
- Forcadela, A Ponte Neighbourhood, 17th century. 1690.
- Coordinates:41.984304, -8.720299
It is located in A Ponte Neighbourhood, in a landscaped area beside the path to the medieval bridge. There are three large steps of uneven height supporting a quadrangular base with chamfered upper edges. Around the whole perimeter, both on the chamfer and on the faces, there is a heavily eroded inscription which reads “1690”.
It has a fluted cylindrical shaft, which features a small base displaying the figure of Saint Francis. It is topped by ball-shaped capital supporting a cross that depicts the Crucified Christ beneath a cartouche on one side, and the Virgin Mary on the other.
