A Gándara Stone Wash House Lavadoiro

It is located in a Gándara, between the road and the Pego River, from which it originally received water.
It is currently in state of abandonment and partially buried. It features a flat roof supported by eight granite pillars, showing signs of iterventions from different periods and materials. The oldest section is the washbasin that consist of a granite tank with a brick central division. The large inclined slabs fro washing are still preserved, and are the ones showing more erosion due to the use. In the Tomiño image file there is a photograph in which the roof had a plaque with the inscription “J.A.M” and the year “1952”.
